Building an AI employee that lives entirely in WhatsApp
A product built end to end to prove the argument: most small businesses do not want another app to learn.

How it went
Small businesses do not want another dashboard
Marketing software for sole traders and small teams keeps failing the same way: it assumes the owner will log into something new and learn it. They are on site, in a van, between jobs. The tool that gets used is the one already on their phone.
The real constraint was trust, not capability
The models could already write the blog posts and the review requests. What made owners hesitate was letting software post in their name. That reframed the product: approval is not a safety rail bolted on afterwards, it is the core interaction.
WhatsApp as the entire interface
No app, no dashboard, no login. Kev drafts, the owner replies to approve, Kev publishes to the owner’s own connected accounts. A separate link — Kev View — opens a live read-only view of calendar, finances and activity without a password.
An employee you hire, not software you install
The positioning had to hold in every line of copy, so the voice rules are explicit: the owner decides, approves and signs off; Kev drafts, prepares and gets things ready. Kev is never in charge, and never claims to be the owner.
A team, using AI properly
The whole product — conversation design, workflow automation, the corporate site, the content engine — was built by our team. It's proof of the Origin Apps argument, tested with our own money rather than a client's.
A working product, and its own marketing department
Kev-AI runs live at kev-ai.co with a working demo installation. The content promoting Kev is planned and written by Kev, which makes the product its own continuous test.
